Since 2011, NelliJam has been a staple festival event on the South Coast summer calendar. It spawned from very humble beginnings – starting its life with four local bands in the beer garden and a nervous festival director who was wondering if anyone was going to turn up. We were pleasantly surprised with the response – so we vowed to make NelliJam an annual event. We’ve never looked back!
In 2010, original live music seemed like a thing of the past on the far south coast. NelliJam was destined to change that! We had a genuine desire to put original music back on the agenda. Wind the clock forward, the event now brings around 700 live music lovers to Nelligen every January – something we are immensely proud of.
NelliJam is held each year in the picturesque town of Nelligen on the far south coast (8 minutes west of Batemans Bay). Our wonderful hosts, The Steampacket Hotel have been there since day dot – ensuring the event is a success for all involved. The beautiful river-town and the iconic venue makes the perfect backdrop for live music. Nelligen Big 4 Caravan Park is right across the road, so quality accommodation is just a few short steps away.
With a Rock, Blues and Indie vibe – and a smattering of everything else, NelliJam is a family-friendly event loved by all ages and all tastes.
